Steve Rogers attends International IP Crime Conference

DEI's president and CEO Steve Rogers travelled to Dublin, Ireland to participate in the 2009 International Law Enforcement IP Crime Conference from September 29 to October 1. Sponsored by Interpol, An Garda Síochána, and the Police Service of Northern Ireland, the conference was a valuable opportunity for investigative agencies from across the world to gather and share strategies and tools for combatting intellectual property crime.
"In a world where transnational IP crime is increasingly common and more difficult to detect, it is crucial for international agencies to collaborate to effectively combat cross-border piracy and intellectual property theft," says Mr. Rogers. Conference delegates attended sessions to learn about and share ideas on resources for identifying pirated and counterfeit products, multi-agency cooperation for combatting IP crime, and customs and border issues.
The Dublin conference was an opportunity for Mr. Rogers to enhance DEI's already substantial presence in the international intellectual property protection community. DEI's internet investigation services and its proprietary Integrated Case Management database are used worldwide in anti IP-crime efforts.
